Todd’s history is rooted in wildlife conservation, business entrepreneurship, and innovative advancements. After 30 years in the private sector where he founded 7 companies and became the CEO of Managed Business Solutions, Inc, a two-time INC’s 500 Best IT Companies To Watch, Todd came to Power Line Sentry in 2010 with a plan to bring awareness to the similarities between effective power hardening solutions and effective wildlife protection products.
Todd is the CEO of our operation, and his commitment to continuous modernization – from R&D to manufacturing – is leading our efforts to advance our solutions and our industry.
VP OF RESEARCH
As the VP of Research, Kris spearheads our R&D projects, 3D Printing Lab, robotic manufacturing line, and UAV solutions. His focus on precision engineering has advanced the ease of installation while improving the durability and cost-effectiveness of each of our products. He is an experienced manager, with a background in Oil and Gas, Real Estate Development, and Renewable Energy sectors.
Since joining Power Line Sentry in 2015, Kris has become a co-owner, implemented manufacturing automation processes, and led the development of the RipStop Line Hose, Cutout Cover, Spike Deterrent, Pole Wrap, and Nesting Deterrent.
DAVID MONAHAN, PHD
VP OF MANUFACTURING
David brings a depth of skills in business operations with a particular focus on innovation and manufacturing. He has founded a variety of status-quo challenging businesses, from a barrel cooperage to a fiber optics company to an award-winning whiskey distillery. As VP of Manufacturing, his focus on efficiency through innovation is advancing our CAD productions, our material selections, and our methods.
David’s involvement with community-minded business incentives, from mentoring startups to hosting Lunch and Learns, reminds us how positive work cultures directly impact the industry.
VP OF SALES
Jason, our VP of Sales, has an extensive background in sales management in the energy sector and beyond. He has led national and international sales teams at Sennebogen LLC, Baekart Corporation and Coastal Wire Company, and he has vast experience of creating focused go-to-market strategies based on a positive customer service experience and the development of the distributor and dealer network.
His roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-involved attitude combined with his love of data analytics compliments his approach to building the collaborative relationship between wildlife mitigation and power reliability.
With over 30 years as a Journeyman electric lineman, and 10 years designing distribution and sub-transmission power lines, Ron Spencer founded the predecessor business to Power Line Sentry in 1998 with a deep appreciation of continuous, reliable electrical service and a commitment to continuous innovation.
His experience, coupled with his passion for wildlife behavior, lead to his 5 patented power protection designs – including the Raptor Guard. Ron has brought a real-time understanding for how and why birds and other animals can easily interrupt electrical service, and he remains passionate about reducing electrical outages while at the same time saving the animals that cause these problems.
Riley has an extensive utility background, including engineering management and T&D design experience. He recently retired as a regional sales manager at PUPI Crossarms, a fiberglass cross-arm manufacturing company, and he is now involved in targeted marketing and sales efforts at Power Line Sentry.
Riley has authored and presented technical papers at IEEE, EDM, TechAdvantage, and NWPPPA.
